June

6/26/23 Hard to believe June is almost over! Keely’s Gorgeous Blue eyed F1 Mini Nubians are going to their new homes today and tomorrow. Tansy and Indy’s Triplets have found new homes, 2 are leaving for Wisconsin July 3rd, their brother and one of Pinks Doelings are headed to WA July 8-9th.

Pink is going to her new home Mid July, she is going to have a wonderful home with a lovely couple whose Goats and two Golden Retrievers are their kids!

That will leave me with my 4 Beautiful Nubian Does and my Buck, Blue Cashmere, aka “Charm “. I’ll be showing my Nubian Does at ADGA shows, and Charm in Virtual shows. Already my life and work load has been hugely reduced for which I’m so grateful.

My first experience with Mastitis was with my beautiful Doe Keely. Her twins were born June 2nd, Keely was milked to keep her even from day one. On June 8th she developed Mastitis, it has been an ordeal to say the least.

I hope I never have to deal with mastitis again. My daughter and I spent hours massaging, milking, hot water massage, teat infusions, Antibiotic shots, more infusions, more antibiotic shots. Three weeks twice a day, and our efforts have paid off! Keelys Udder looks beautiful!

I have to thank those friends whose advice really helped me to save Keelys Udder! Jill Loveland and Beverly Holley. You saved my Doe!

And my Amazing Daughter, Sarah, without her support and help to hold, give shots, infuse, milk and massage Keelys Udder in her spare time, I couldn’t have done it without her!

Last but not least, my amazing Veterinarian for more then 40 years, Dr. Ben Braat! I asked for certain medications and he got them for me!

6/23/23 That was Fast! All available Goats have found new homes! I really appreciate all of my return clients and my new Clients! Thank you for providing excellent homes for my beloved goats!

6/18/23 Well the time has arrived that I am making a huge change in my life. I’m burnt out, and need to reduce my work load drastically.

This has completely encompassed my life for the last two years. I feel like my health is breaking down and I need to take care of me.

I’m selling all of my goats except for my two Nubian Doelings and my adult Nubian Doe and my Buck Blue Cashmere.

I will breed Keely to Cashmere and that will be it.

I’ll breed my 2 little girls in the fall of 2024, meanwhile I will enjoy my 4 goats and take it easy.

Check out my available 2023 page and I will be updating it everyday when I have time

It’s been a great adventure and I have enjoyed meeting new people and making friends. For now I’m headed towards another adventure…relaxation
