JUNE

It’s really hard to just quit raising animals.

I mean, what are you going to do with all that spare time? Seeing my pastures and barns empty, no goats calling me when I go outside,  where is the joy?

So I’m not going to quit or retire because I enjoy and love my goats, they are like big dogs that adore me, and the feeling is mutual.

Here it is, June, and half the year is already over!

Lots of things are happening here at Mini Love Farm.  We decided this is the year to re-do our yard in April. It’s almost ready for the first mowing.

Then we decided to replace our deck, it was there when we bought our house 17 years ago and desperately needed to be replaced.

Also, the front and back porches needed to be replaced, too!

It’s shocking how you don’t prioritize the exterior of your home, but then you’re 17 years older, and it’s easy to procrastinate.

So, this is the year we do repairs on our home, we are also painting the exterior of our house. It’s going to be a long but productive summer.

Meanwhile, I realized that I could not give up my little herd of goats that I love so much!

The pros of them are staying active and excersise daily. If I don’t breed them it cuts so much stress from my life. I can keep them as pets and only breed a couple once a year or so.

I decided to breed my two adult girls for May 2026 kids. I want to get Harmony’s Milk Star and have both signed up for the 2026 ADGA. appraisal in June.

My other two won’t be bred until they are 18 months old. They are only three months old now.

I just want to enjoy them! My Buck, however,  will be available for driveway breedings,
