February

This year I decided to breed my girls later for mid spring kids. However my girls didn’t exactly cooperate with my plans.

I don’t really mind though because this has given me more time this winter to enjoy my other indoor hobbies. For the first time in a long time I have been in my Sewing/Craft room creating. It’s been a joy!

Keely is up first for kidding in mid April, she ultra-sounded with 3 possibly 4 kids and was bred to Blue Cashmere. I’m expecting gorgeous first generation Mini Nubian Kids! Blue Eyes and Moonspots possible.

Next up will be Gabriella, this will be her first Freshening as a yearling. Gabby is a beautiful Doe and is also bred to Blue Cashmere for first Generation Mini Nubian Kids in Mid May.

These First Generation Mini Nubian Kids will have the Nubian Breed Characteristics. No airplane ears, no dwarfy body type. You won’t have to breed them and their offspring for 5 generations to get a Standard Nubian looking Goat.

They will have beautiful long ears, no dish face, easy to hand milk teats, well attached udders, a Quart or more of Milk twice a day instead of a cup of milk.

You will see a longer body, a better brisket, a more level topline and all around better conformation.

These First Generation Kids will have the Champion Pedigree, the Linear Scoring and Milk Stars in their pedigrees for Milk, Show and Production all in a Beautiful, Smaller package.

So don’t get caught up in having to buy a Purebred Mini Nubian, Buy the goat that meets all of your needs for all of your goals, and looks like a Nubian Goat that will deliver the goods, weather it be Show – Milk or Production.
