I have previously posted on Facebook in June my new goats that have arrived or will soon arrive here at Mini Love Farm. They have their own Web page here and you can see pictures of them and their Sire and Dam along with pictures of their extended relatives. Basically their family tree.
DAVINIA WW ROCK MY WORLD LCG

Rocky is a Purebred Nubian Buck, he was bred and born at Davinia’s Acres in Eagle Creek, Oregon.
Davinia breeds top quality Nubians, with some old bloodlines and bloodlines most that are well known today.
Davinia doesn’t show her goats, but her customers who do show goats, buy from her, and they do show and win in the Show ring!
Davinia does Milk herd share with her herd of beautiful Nubian Does. She milks her goats twice a day and besides her milk share, she makes cheese, yogurt, all kinds of food made with healthy Goat Milk.
You can find Davinia’s on Facebook!
Check out Rocky’s page under Herd Sires tab on the Menu!
STEEL HORSE RANCH VALLEY GIRL

“Valli” is a beautiful 4 month old 5th Generation Mini Nubian Doe. I bought her from my friend Jenna Taylor at Steel Horse Ranch in Gaston, Oregon.
I was looking to add a Mini Nubian Doe to my small herd of 3 Does all standard Nubians. One of my Nubian Does is the same age as Valli, so I decided she needed a friend.
I had looked in March at Steel Horse Ranch and Jenna had some newborn kids on the ground, lots of color, but I was hoping for a Doeling from one of my own Does who were due in late spring.
Then when Gabby turned out to have aborted her kids shortly after ultrasound at 60 days pregnant with twins, I was hoping for a Doeling from Harmony who had ultrasounded with triplets.
When Harmony kidded with a single Buckling obviously she had absorbed the other two kids. Kidding this year was disappointing, the bright side was Harmony’s Buckling.
Magic, also known as “Jackson” quickly showed great promise as a Herd Sire prospect. By the time he was 2 weeks old I could see that was his destiny. See his web page for more details under Our Herd Sires on the main Menu!
Back to Valli, when I started looking again I thought I might be able to buy Patsy’s sister Loretta Lynn, but I realized she might not sell her for a long time, if ever. But if she does sell her I have first chance at her.

Back to looking again. By this time late June, most doelings had already found new homes.
Aside from Oregon and SW Washington that was drivable distance, buying from out of state would be double the price when your talking transport, and Vet expenses for CVI.
I really wanted to look, touch and meet in person any doeling that I was interested in. And then I remembered Jenna’s Doelings!
Goat Trails BH Stars Over Texas *B sired these goat kids, so I messaged her and she had both Doelings I liked left. However one was a Blue Cashmere granddaughter.
So that one was out. I asked Jenna for some current pictures and she sent some taken that same evening and a short video. I Love people who are willing to go out and take pictures and videos on such short notice!
I asked when I could come up to see her, she said tomorrow. So up to Gaston through some of the most Beautiful Wine country in the Willamette Valley.
I took quite a bit of time watching her move, walking away and toward me. Her coat pattern made her rear legs look cowhocked, but after watching her I could see that it was an illusion due to coat pattern and long hair.
It wasn’t until I got her home, gave her a bath and haircut that I could really see how smoothly her long, slender neck blended into her withers and topline. I could see how she had a beautiful long body and her rear legs had just the right amount of angulation. Nice straight front legs and that Brisket!
Strong pasterns and her teats straight and great length to them. With any luck she will have fantastic orfices like her Dam and milk like a dream!
Overall I’m very pleased with her conformation. As for her V Show pictures, the side picture is best, the rear picture she kept tucking and just wouldn’t relax. The front picture could have been better but she was clearly nervous, being in a new home, parted from her Dam and new people who just tortured her the day before.
All in all I think she is a beautiful addition to the herd. Valli just needs time to adjust to her new home.
I think Fall V Show I will see much more relaxed version of Miss Valli Girl.
