I toyed with the idea of finding another Buck, Cashmere has been on a Buckling mission the last couple of years. I was checking out different farms and came to the realization that I have the perfect Buckling already.

DKGH Elvis’ Harmony is a Fantastic Doe with an Amazing pedigree and gorgeous Udder. She is long, deep bodied, beautiful Nubian breed characteristics too. Harmony could be wider in front and rear, but Cashmere has improved that greatly on his kids along with substantial bone.

I Love everything about Harmony’s 2026 Buckling. He should additionally improve Udders on his kids. I will be breeding him to my new Doe, Covenant Farms Country Dolly,  a beautiful Purebred Nubian Doe with another exceptional pedigree and gorgeous 2nd Freshening Udder.  Check out her page.

I decided to find Gabby a new home that Shows and that doesn’t mind bottle raising kids.I just don’t have the energy any more to bottle raise kids.

I raised Gabby on a bottle 3 years ago,  I love this Doe so much! But I need a Doe that wants to raise her kids with a strong mothering instinct.  I needed to find a home for her that knows how to keep goats,  and ideally work out a trade.

Teresa Fairchild of Covenant Farms in Salem Oregon,  is a friend and a breeder I trust completely,  and the stars were aligned just right and we made a trade that suited both our needs. And that is how Gabby went to an amazing home and Dolly is coming to my home with one of her doelings at her side.

Harmony was ultrasounded at 45 days after breeding with triplets, on May 12th she delivered a Beautiful single Buckling. Such a weird year. He’s healthy, black roan with Blue eyes and moonspots, a sweet temperament too.

Gabriella aka “Gabby” had a trip to my wonderful Veterinarian  Dr Amanda Willis of Lebanon Animal Hospital  today.

Gabby was overdue to kid by 9 days.  An ultrasound revealed an empty Uterus and that sometime shortly after her 60 day ultrasound,  she aborted her kids.

Who knows why. Gabby meanwhile was fed a pregnant Does diet for the remainder of her “pregnancy ” and looked like she was pregnant. But she wasn’t.

Im disappointed,  but Dr. Willis said she will be fine and can be bred again this fall.

Harmony, is due May 10th, We have 4 more days until her due date. She looks pregnant crossing my fingers im not writing another post like this  again in a week.

Im hoping for a Doeling from Harmony and Cashmere to retain.
